Today we had the pleasure of hosting our 4th Annual Balanced Man Scholarship Banquet! This year’s application cycle was our largest since the scholarship was first established, with double the number of applicants compared to last year. We had the honor of awarding three outstanding young men $1,000 each in recognition of their achievements and potential.
Every finalist strived for excellence in academics, service, and extracurriculars, but these three winners went above and beyond to ensure they lived a well-rounded life befitting of true Balanced Men.
We were also honored to be joined by our Grand Chapter President David Calderon , a Cal Poly Pomona alumnus, who gave an inspiring speech about his journey, from being a first-generation college student, to becoming a SigEp brother, to now serving as president of our national fraternity. From our supporters, SigEp alumni, and Cal Poly community members, this banquet was truly one for the books.
Thank you to everyone who made this event possible, and a special shoutout to our BMS Chair (Bishop-Amer Davis) for making this the biggest and best banquet yet.
